Job summary

Megger seeks an Electronics Technician to join the PCB Test Team in the UK. You will support board-level assembly, testing, inspection and rework of PCBs in a busy production environment. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and ensure components meet quality and reliability standards, collaborating with Engineering and Quality teams.

You will log faults, help root-cause investigations, and contribute to continuous improvement in manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics or manufacturing environment preferred.
• PCB soldering and rework experience desirable (SMD and through-hole).
• Ability to read schematics, layouts and technical docs.
• Experience with test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Good data entry and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out automated and dedicated testing of PCB assemblies in line with procedures.
• Diagnose faults at component and board level using schematics and docs.
• Carry out SMD and through-hole soldering and PCB rework/repairs.
• Use test equipment to identify faults and support investigations.
• Record faults accurately and log data in repair systems.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality to address defects.
• Ensure work aligns with procedures and manufacturing standards.
• Support continuous improvement to raise quality and efficiency.
