Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited in Bristol is seeking an Electrical/Electronics Engineer (PCB Design) to own hardware development for robotics and automation projects, from concept to production. The role focuses on designing high-performance analog and digital circuits and multi-layer PCBs using KiCad, with a collaborative, hands-on environment.

You will develop schematic diagrams, build and test prototypes, troubleshoot hardware, and support manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Experience designing PCB layouts for analogue and digital electronics.
• Ability to design schematics and multi-layer PCBs using KiCad or similar.
• Experience across hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Designing schematic diagrams and multi-layer PCB layouts using KiCad or similar
• Developing analogue, power and digital electronic systems for robotics and automation
• Building, testing and troubleshooting prototypes using laboratory equipment
• Working alongside software and mechanical engineers throughout product development
• Supporting design for manufacture (DFM/DFA) and production readiness
