Job summary

Our client near St Ives, Cambridgeshire is looking for a reliable PCB Assembly Operative to join a busy manufacturing team on a full-time permanent basis. You will assemble PCBs and box-build products using hand and power tools, perform soldering, cropping, de-paneling and light rework, and ensure assemblies meet quality standards.

The role is 39 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 8:00am-4:15pm and Friday 8:00am-2:00pm, with 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electronic components required.
  • Strong manual dexterity and accuracy for high-quality work.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, packs and specs.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Previous PCB/electronics assembly experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble PCB and electronic components using hand and power tools.
  • Carry out soldering, cropping, de-paneling and minor rework.
  • Inspect components and finished assemblies to high-quality standards.
  • Read drawings, job packs, parts lists and technical specifications.
  • Complete production records and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Work to production schedules and deadlines.
  • Maintain housekeeping and follow ESD, health & safety and QMS procedures.
  • Support colleagues and assist with training where required.
  • Identify quality and efficiency improvements.
