Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is assisting a client near St Ives, Cambridgeshire to recruit a PCB Assembly Operative on a full-time permanent basis. The role involves assembling PCBs and box-build products in a busy manufacturing team.

You will read drawings and specs, perform soldering and minor rework, and ensure high-quality standards while keeping production records up to date. The position runs Monday-Thursday 8:00–16:15 and Friday 8:00–14:00, with 25 days plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in PCB/electronics assembly preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and job packs.
• Excellent manual dexterity and accuracy required.
• Good organisational and communication skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Assemble PCB and electronic components using hand and power tools.
• Soldering, cropping, de-paneling and minor rework.
• Inspect components and assemblies to high quality standards.
• Read drawings, job packs, parts lists and technical specs.
• Complete production records and maintain documentation.
• Work to production schedules and deadlines.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow safety and QMS procedures.
• Support colleagues and assist with training where required.
• Identify quality and efficiency improvements.

My client based near St Ives Cambridgeshire are currently recruiting for a PCB Assembly Operative to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

£26,000 | Permanent | 39 hours per week | Own Transport Required

Key responsibilities

• Assemble PCB and electronic components using hand and power tools
• Carry out soldering, cropping, de-paneling and minor rework
• Inspect components and finished assemblies to high-quality standards
• Read drawings, job packs, parts lists and technical specifications
• Complete production records and maintain accurate documentation
• Work to production schedules and deadlines
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and follow ESD, health & safety and QMS procedures
• Support colleagues and assist with training where required
• Identify quality and efficiency improvements

What we're looking for
