Job Description

Defour Partnership is working closely with an award-winning National Social Care Charity to recruit a Payroll Team Leader for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

This role is ideal for someone seeking a challenge in a fast-paced, high-volume Payroll Department. The Payroll Team Leader will oversee a small team, manage daily payroll processes, contribute to the charity's growth strategy, and work with the Payroll Manager on TUPE transfers to ensure smooth transitions for colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure daily payroll processes are completed accurately and on time.
  • Complete monthly payroll checks and reconciliations.
  • Respond to escalated queries.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the Payroll function by building relationships with stakeholders.
  • Lead TUPE processes in conjunction with the Payroll Manager.
  • Develop Payroll Officers through their career pathways.
Benefits

Flexibility to work full-time hours over 4 days for long weekends or 5 days to suit other commitments. Travel to regional head office in Widnes may be required; remote or home working options are available.

Salary up to £29,000 per annum plus benefits including retail discounts, holiday discounts, cycle to work scheme, and travel discounts via their benefits app.
