You will be responsible for payroll processing, reporting, and reconciliations, with opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiencies in a busy finance environment.

Qualifications

• Strong payroll processing experience (weekly and monthly)
• Experience leading a small team
• Knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC compliance
• Proficient in Excel for payroll data reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple payrolls and deadlines

• Proactive ownership of payroll functions

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for accurate and timely processing of weekly and monthly payrolls
• Process payrolls for a bureau, managing multiple payrolls and deadlines
• Ensure payroll processes comply with HMRC requirements and current legislation
• Own payroll reporting and reconciliations
• Manage and support a small payroll team
• Review payrolls for accuracy before completion
• Handle payroll queries and resolve issues
• Stay updated on payroll legislation changes and implement them correctly
• Use Excel to analyze payroll data and produce reports
• Manage workloads and priorities in a busy, growing function
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies
