Job summary

Adjacency Recruitment Limited seeks a Payroll Clerk to support the payroll team in accurate and timely processing of in-house payroll. The role involves maintaining payroll records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and addressing employee inquiries.

You will gain experience in a professional payroll environment, work closely with the payroll administrators, and develop payroll knowledge through day-to-day activities and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of payroll or accounting experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of payroll regulations and taxes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational, and time-management skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with employees and team members.
• Team player with self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain payroll records in line with company and statutory requirements.
• Approve weekly timesheets in the Time & Attendance system within deadlines.
• Export/import absences and holidays from T&A to payroll system.
• Support site managers with timesheet queries.
• Answer inbound calls professionally.
• Assist Payroll Administrators with starters, leavers and variations.
• Perform other general duties as required.
