Job summary

TPF Recruitment is pleased to assist a well-established Canterbury accountancy practice in recruiting a Payroll Supervisor. The role involves overseeing daily payroll delivery for a diverse portfolio and guiding the payroll team to maintain high service standards.

The successful candidate will have strong payroll experience, be experienced in supervising colleagues, and possess up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and auto-enrolment requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau.
• Experience supervising or supporting junior colleagues.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and current regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
• Supervise and support payroll team members and review their work.
• Act as primary contact for clients and respond to payroll queries promptly.
• Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and submissions.
• Oversee workplace pension and auto-enrolment requirements.
• Assist with training and development of junior staff.
• Support the Payroll Manager with improving systems and processes.
