Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is partnering with a Havant-based business to provide a Payroll Assistant for a short-term temporary assignment. The role focuses on managing weekly payroll with accuracy, during the annual leave period of the current postholder, and requires strong Sage Payroll experience.

You will work in a friendly, supportive team, ensuring RTI submissions, pension uploads, and payslip production are completed on time for around 120 staff, with on-site responsibilities and

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll experience using Sage Payroll.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation and processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels.
• Able to work independently and confidently manage the payroll process.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for approximately 120 employees.
• Gather information from clocking cards and validate payroll data.
• Calculate overtime payments and shift allowances.
• Complete RTI submissions and pension uploads.
• Process payroll through BACS.
• Produce and issue employee payslips.
• Respond to payroll-related queries during the payroll cycle.
