Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group has partnered exclusively with a Havant-based business to recruit an experienced Payroll Assistant for a short-term assignment.

You will own the weekly payroll process for around 120 staff, gather data from clocking cards, calculate overtime, process RTI submissions and pension uploads, and issue payslips. This temporary role runs during the week of 21st September 2026 with a friendly, supportive team and good transport links.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll experience using Sage Payroll.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation and processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
• Able to work independently and confidently manage the payroll process.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for approximately 120 employees.
• Gather information from clocking cards and validate payroll data.
• Calculate overtime payments and shift allowances.
• Complete RTI submissions and pension uploads.
• Process payroll through BACS.
• Produce and issue employee payslips.
• Respond to payroll-related queries during the payroll cycle.
