Job summary

Huntress - Maidstone is seeking an experienced Payroll Assistant to join our clients payroll team on a temporary basis, starting immediately. The role is hands-on and requires a background in end-to-end payroll to hit the ground running.

Key tasks include input processing, data validation, starters/leavers, amendments, pension deductions, and answering routine payroll queries. You will work under the Payroll Manager within a busy team environment in the UK.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in end-to-end payroll
• Knowledge of statutory payroll requirements, pensions and deductions
• Experience handling starters, leavers and amendments
• Proficient with Excel and payroll systems
• Attention to detail in a busy workload
• Professional handling of confidential information
• Organised and able to work independently or in a team

Responsibilities

• Processing payroll input and administration tasks
• Supporting payroll data entry and validation
• Assisting with employee payroll amendments, starters, leavers and contractual changes
• Reviewing payroll exceptions and anomalies
• Supporting pension administration and payroll-related deductions
• Validating expenses and payroll adjustments
• Responding to routine payroll queries
• Assisting with payroll reconciliations and maintaining records
• Supporting statutory and compliance payroll activities
• Working under the Payroll Manager and team
