Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group has partnered with a Havant-based business to recruit an experienced Payroll Assistant for a short-term temporary assignment. You will own the weekly payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while the permanent postholder is on annual leave.

Ideal candidates will have end-to-end payroll experience with Sage Payroll, a strong grasp of payroll legislation, and excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll experience using Sage Payroll
• Knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Processing weekly payroll for approximately 120 employees
• Gathering information from clocking cards and validating payroll data
• Calculating overtime payments and shift allowances
• Completing RTI submissions and pension uploads
• Processing payroll through BACS
• Producing and issuing employee payslips
• Responding to payroll-related queries during the payroll cycle
