Job summary

Equans is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join the Payroll and Benefits team in Newcastle. This permanent role is full time (37.5 hours/week) at our modern Shared Services office at Quorum Business Park.

You’ll deliver accurate payroll processing in line with policies and regulations, support SAP migration projects, and drive process improvements with HR and IT colleagues. You will benefit from a competitive salary and bonus package, plus extensive learning opportunities, health and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Experience delivering operational and strategic payroll services.
• Payroll implementations and systems development experience.
• Strong leadership and change/project management skills.
• Knowledge of current and upcoming payroll legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support UKBU HR & Payroll projects with IT and payroll teams.
• Migrate all payrolls to SAP by April 2027.
• Align Equans wage types and payroll processes where possible.
• Identify opportunities to remove manual processes in HR/Payroll.
