Phoenix Learning & Care Group is seeking a Payroll Officer in the Devon area to manage payroll across multiple payrolls for around 750 staff. The role focuses on accuracy, timely payments, and regulatory compliance within both education and care services.

You’ll work with ADP and our finance team to ensure pension contributions, auto-enrolment, and data integrity across seven monthly cycles, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and service quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in internal payroll processing, including 52-week payrolls.
• Knowledge of payroll legislation; CIPP or equivalent qualifications preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
• Excellent IT skills with Excel, Word, Outlook, and team collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Support monthly payroll processing for seven payrolls and ~750 employees.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, pensions, and data protection.
• Administer pension schemes, auto-enrolment, and salary sacrifice when applicable.
• Audit payroll data and collaborate with Head of Finance and IT to resolve issues.
• Deliver a first-class payroll service to staff across the care and education services.
