Job summary

Butler Rose is working with a well-established accountancy practice in Warrington, Cheshire, seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Assistant to own a portfolio and process payroll from start to finish.

The role is hands-on and office-based in Warrington, with a Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.00pm schedule, offering exposure to auto-enrolment, CIS and client queries in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Solid end-to-end payroll experience across weekly and monthly cycles.
• Experience managing multiple payrolls or a client portfolio.
• Experience with auto-enrolment and pension requirements.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own portfolio of client payrolls from start to finish.
• Process weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time.
• Maintain accurate client and employee payroll records.
• Process payroll using Superpay and manage auto-enrolment.
• Respond to payroll queries from clients, HMRC and colleagues.
• Keep up to date with payroll legislation and CIS returns.
