Square Peg Associates is hiring a Payroll Officer for a Blackburn-based role. You will handle payroll for around 200 staff, processing fortnightly and monthly cycles, and responding to payroll queries.

The role involves timesheet collation, calculations for overtime, bonuses, holidays, and statutory payments, along with year-end reporting. The ideal candidate has at least two years in payroll, is proficient in Excel, and familiar with SAP or similar payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of payroll for ~200 staff
• Process fortnightly and monthly payrolls
• Answer staff payroll queries
• Collate timesheets and attendance records
• Calculate overtime and bonus payments
• Process holidays and absence payments
• Handle statutory payments
• Perform manual calculations
• Complete month end and year end reports
• Manage tax code changes and NI payments
• Input new starters and leavers onto the in-house system
