Blusource is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead a small team and take ownership of 11 monthly payrolls for around 2,000 colleagues. The role offers hybrid working in Leicestershire and a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential for permanency.

You will drive payroll accuracy, oversee controls and reporting, and work with HR and Finance to implement a new payroll system while maintaining high service levels.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading, supporting and developing two Payroll Assistants
• Overseeing the accurate and timely delivery of 11 monthly payrolls
• Managing payroll controls, reconciliations, reporting and escalated queries
• Ensuring payroll processes meet statutory requirements
• Working closely with HR, Finance and colleagues across the business
• Reviewing processes and supporting the introduction of a new payroll system

What you’ll bring

• Experience managing or leading a payroll function
• Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge, ideally in a high-volume environment
• Confidence leading a team and coordinating multiple deadlines
• A high level of accuracy and a practical, improvement-focused approach
• Sage 50 Payroll and system implementation experience would be beneficial
