Job summary

Blusource Professional Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager in Leicestershire. You will lead two Payroll Assistants and oversee 11 monthly payrolls for ~2,000 colleagues, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery while preparing for a new payroll system.

This 12-month fixed-term role offers hybrid working and a chance to shape payroll processes in a people‑led business that values its people.

Qualifications

• Experience managing or leading a payroll function.
• Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge, ideally in a high-volume environment.
• Confident leading a team and coordinating multiple deadlines.
• A high level of accuracy and a practical, improvement-focused approach.
• Sage 50 Payroll experience and system implementation knowledge would be beneficial.

• Leading, supporting and developing two Payroll Assistants.
• Overseeing the accurate and timely delivery of 11 monthly payrolls.
• Managing payroll controls, reconciliations, reporting and escalated queries.
• Ensuring payroll processes meet statutory requirements.

• Reviewing processes and supporting the introduction of a new payroll system.

Salary: £55,000–£65,000

You’ll lead two Payroll Assistants and oversee 11 monthly payrolls covering around 2,000 colleagues. You’ll have the support to deliver payroll accurately and on time, while helping shape improvements and prepare the business for a new payroll system.
