About the Role:
Based out of our Christchurch Office in Hornby, you will be the other half of our in-house 'Payroll duo' reporting into the Head of Group HR. You will work closely with line managers and the HR team to ensure high standards of service are met.
With payroll being the main focus of your role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of our weekly, fortnightly and monthly pay runs, including the processing of superannuation and tax. You will ensure our payroll system is kept up to date, data is correct, and processes are checked against internal audit requirements for quality assurance. You will assist with reporting and analytics and will support the HR team with your expertise and guidance, particularly around the Holidays Act and how it is applied.
Along with Payroll, there will be plenty of opportunity to be involved with other HR activities to grow your skills and capabilities. Providing support with recruitment, onboarding and learning and development will be specific focus areas along with general administrative tasks.
About You:
You will be an experienced Payroll Administrator with a desire to expand your knowledge and capability across HR operations. You have meticulous attention to detail and naturally thrive in a busy environment. Your ability to deliver to tight timeframes while remaining calm under pressure will see you succeed along with the ability to deal with confidential information. You have an eye for spotting ways to improve our existing systems and collaborate with others well to get the job done. Maintaining a great team culture is equally important to us - your supportive nature and great sense of humour will see you succeed in our team!
