Colas Ltd is seeking a Cost Clerk on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support payroll and financial administration within the National Highways Area 9 M&R project, based at Doxey Depot, ST18 9LG. The role offers a 37.5-hour week, with hybrid working options and progression towards a professional qualification.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll, accounts payable or finance administration.
• Strong Excel skills and accuracy.
• Good communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collate, maintain and accurately enter payroll data across multiple systems.
• Process payroll entries and assist with payroll administration activities.
• Match purchase orders and goods received notes against supplier invoices.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve invoice and payment queries.
• Use Excel and accounting systems to process financial transactions, including sales invoices.
• Support the Finance team with general administrative and ad hoc duties as required.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure information is processed promptly.
• Carry out duties in line with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
