COLAS ROADS UK is seeking a Cost Clerk to join its Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave, based at Doxey Depot, ST18 9LG. The role focuses on payroll and financial administration with a supportive team and varied workload.

You will collate payroll data, process entries, and handle supplier invoices while using Excel and accounting systems. The position offers hybrid working and opportunities for professional qualification study.

Qualifications

• Experience with payroll data entry and administration.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
• Good communication and coordination with suppliers and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Collate, maintain and accurately enter payroll data across multiple systems.
• Process payroll entries and assist with payroll administration activities.
• Match purchase orders and goods received notes against supplier invoices.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve invoice and payment queries.
• Use Excel and accounting systems to process financial transactions, including sales invoices.
• Support the Finance team with general administrative and ad hoc duties as required.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure information is processed in a timely manner.
• Carry out all duties in line with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
