Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and within deadlines.
  • Manage payroll information from input through to completion.
  • Process starters, leavers and employee changes.
  • Calculate pay, deductions and adjustments accurately.
  • Handle payroll queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information.
  • Complete payroll checks and reconciliations.
  • Ensure statutory requirements and payroll procedures are followed.
  • Process PAYE, National Insurance and other deductions.
  • Support pension and auto-enrolment processes.
  • Assist with statutory payments and payroll-related administration.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payroll issues.
  • Provide clear information to customers and employees.
  • Manage a high-volume workload with accuracy.

The Role

  • Manage payroll information from input through to completion.
  • Process starters, leavers and employee changes.
  • Calculate pay, deductions and adjustments accurately.
  • Handle payroll queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Investigate discrepancies and take ownership through to resolution.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information.
  • Complete payroll checks and reconciliations.
  • Ensure statutory requirements and payroll procedures are followed.
  • Process PAYE, National Insurance and other relevant deductions.
  • Support pension and auto-enrolment processes.
  • Assist with statutory payments and payroll-related administration.
  • Work closely with internal teams to resolve payroll issues.
  • Provide clear and accurate information to customers and employees.
  • Manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Meet payroll deadlines and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Keep up to date with relevant payroll legislation and changes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency.
  • Contribute positively to a collaborative, customer-focused team.
About You
  • Previous experience in a payroll position.
  • Good knowledge of UK payroll processes and legislation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Organised, proactive and confident managing your own workload.
  • Comfortable using payroll systems and Microsoft Office.
