TC Group is a Top 20 UK accountancy firm seeking a Payroll Assistant to support our TC MMG team across multiple offices. The role offers hybrid and flexible working after probation, with part-time or full-time options and a pro rata salary of £23,000–£28,000 depending on experience.

You will process diverse payrolls, handle data securely, assist with pension administration and ensure compliance with payroll legislation, delivering high-quality client service.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll experience, ideally in an accountancy or payroll bureau.
• Experience handling weekly and monthly payrolls is preferred.
• Strong client service and relationship-building skills.
• Good communication and teamwork across the payroll team.

Responsibilities

• Process payrolls accurately and on time for a varied client portfolio.
• Collect, validate and exchange payroll data while maintaining confidentiality.
• Support pension administration and comply with HMRC and Auto Enrolment rules.
• Provide timely payroll queries support and guidance to clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet deadlines and service standards.
• Take ownership of assigned payrolls with accuracy and accountability.
