Job summary

TC Group is a leading UK accountancy firm expanding its payroll team across multiple locations, including Kinross. We seek a Payroll Assistant to handle a varied client portfolio, ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing and high-quality service.

Flexible hybrid working is available after probation, with 31 days leave and pro rata salary. You’ll join a supportive, growth‑oriented firm that values collaboration, client service and staff development, with opportunities across seven offices

Qualifications

  • Previous payroll experience, ideally within a payroll bureau or accountancy practice.
  • Experience processing weekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Experience using BrightPay payroll software.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative approach.
  • A commitment to delivering excellent client service.

Responsibilities

  • Processing payrolls accurately and on time across a variety of pay frequencies, including weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Collecting, validating and exchanging payroll data, ensuring employee information is maintained accurately and confidentially.
  • Supporting pension administration and ensuring compliance with HMRC, Auto Enrolment and payroll legislation requirements.
  • Providing excellent client service by responding to payroll queries and offering timely support and guidance.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the payroll team to ensure deadlines are met and service standards are maintained.
  • Taking ownership of assigned payrolls, managing your workload effectively and maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability.

Hours: Part-time or full-time considered, 20 - 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Working Pattern: Hybrid and flexible working available after probationary period

Holiday: 31 days annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing with service up to an additional 5 days – pro rata

The Opportunity

As a Payroll Assistant, you'll be an important part of our payroll team, supporting a varied portfolio of clients and ensuring payrolls are processed accurately, efficiently and on time. You'll build strong client relationships, provide day-to-day payroll support and play a key role in delivering a high-quality service. What You'll Be Doing
