Job summary

Portfolio Payroll Limited in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join a busy finance shared service team. You will handle high volume UK payroll processing, ensure timely and accurate payments, and act as a first line for queries, with a strong focus on Excel skills.

Experience in UK payroll with reconciliation is essential, international exposure is a plus, and familiarity with Cloudpay or Oracle is advantageous. The role offers hybrid working and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• In depth UK payroll experience including reconciliation.
• International payroll experience advantageous but not essential.
• Shared service experience across multi-site or multi-client environments.
• Good working knowledge of current UK payroll legislation.
• Ability to work flexibly in a busy office environment.
• Cloudpay or Oracle system knowledge advantageous.

Our client is a large services based in Newcastle, as part of a friendly team, you will be responsible for processing payroll as part of large team working as part of a financial shared service environment under the Global Payroll lead and Deputy Payroll manager.

Responsibilities

• High volume payroll Processing
• Ensuring timely and accurate payments
• First line for queries as well as managing day to day issues that arise
• Strong excel skills
• Pervious exposure to payroll
• Ability to deal with a fast paced working environment

Requirements

• In depth UK payroll experience including reconciliation
• International experience advantageous but not essential
• Advantage having Shared service experience, multi site or multi client experience
• Good working knowledge of current payroll legislationThe ability to work flexibly according to the changing needs of a busy office
• Cloudpay or Oracle system knowledge advantageous
