Job summary

Portfolio Group in Newcastle, UK, is seeking a payroll specialist to join a large payroll team within a financial shared service. You will manage high-volume UK payroll processing and ensure timely, accurate payments under the Global Payroll lead.

The role requires in-depth UK payroll experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment. Hybrid working and a supportive culture with profit sharing and private health cover are offered.

Qualifications

• In-depth UK payroll experience including reconciliation.
• International experience advantageous but not essential.
• Shared service experience, multi-site or multi-client experience advantageous.
• Good working knowledge of current payroll legislation.
• Ability to work flexibly according to the changing needs of a busy office.
• Cloudpay or Oracle system knowledge advantageous.

Our client is a large services based in Newcastle, as part of a friendly team, you will be responsible for processing payroll as part of large team working as part of a financial shared service environment under the Global Payroll lead and Deputy Payroll manager.

Responsibilities

• High volume payroll Processing
• Ensuring timely and accurate payments
• First line for queries as well as managing day to day issues that arise
