Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a fast-paced organisation in London. You will support day-to-day payroll processing for a large UK workforce in a high-volume, hybrid role and collaborate with HR, Finance and Benefits teams.

The ideal candidate has at least five years' payroll experience, strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, and excellent attention to detail. CIPP qualification is desirable but not essential.

  • Experience in high-volume, multi-site payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Experience assisting with payroll audits and auditor requests.
  • Understanding of payroll journals and accounting processes.
  • Proactive, flexible, and positive approach to work.
  • CIPP qualification desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Payroll Manager with day-to-day processing for ~1,000 employees.
  • Ensure payroll data is processed accurately and in line with UK law.
  • Liaise with HR and Finance on payroll matters.
  • Respond to payroll and benefits queries promptly.
  • Support administration of employee benefits and pension schemes.
  • Assist with payroll audits and provide information to auditors.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records.
  • Process payroll changes and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Generate, save, and distribute payroll reports.
  • Stay updated on payroll legislation and best practices.
  • Support HR and Finance with ad hoc administrative tasks.
  • Assist with freelancer administration and employee records.

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a dynamic and fast-paced organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a high-volume environment and wants to play a key role in supporting both payroll and HR operations.

Working closely with Payroll, HR, Finance, and Benefits teams, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and compliant processing of payroll for a large UK workforce, while also supporting a variety of HR administration activities.

About You
