About the team

Our national payroll team supports our clients in managing their payroll functions and ensuring compliance with UK payroll and pension legislation. Our successful team of more than 70 professionals is growing across all areas and is looking for new team members.

About the role

  • You will be responsible for processing client payrolls assigned to you, providing a first-class payroll bureau service to clients.
  • This includes managing the entire payroll process, including auto-enrolment, from start to finish.
  • You will use payroll software efficiently, including import/export functions and report writing (full training will be provided).
  • You will apply your knowledge of UK payroll and pension legislation to ensure client compliance.
  • You will develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external contacts at all levels, becoming a trusted advisor for your clients.
  • You can be based in Birmingham, Glasgow, or Manchester, with an expectation to attend the office 2 days per week on your chosen days.

What are we looking for?

  • Keen interest in pursuing a career in payroll services.
  • Experience in payroll, preferably in an outsourced payroll environment (desirable).
  • Good IT skills, including confident use of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Good numeracy skills (a basic payroll test will be conducted at interview).
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • A self-starter who can organize and prioritize workload, seeks support when needed, and maintains a highly responsive attitude.
