Job summary

NG Bailey Group & Central in Leeds is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join a supportive payroll team. You will deliver accurate, timely payroll processing and benefit from structured training while progressing towards a recognised payroll qualification.

The role covers processing employee data, maintaining records, answering queries, and gaining exposure to payroll legislation, HMRC processes and payroll reporting to build a long-term career in payroll.

Summary

Are you looking to develop a specialist career in payroll?

Whether you currently work in HR, payroll, finance or a general administrative role, this is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while studying towards a recognised payroll qualification.

As a Payroll Administrator, you'll join a supportive Payroll team and learn how to deliver an accurate and efficient payroll service. You'll receive structured training, dedicated study time and mentoring from experienced payroll professionals while developing your knowledge of payroll legislation, systems and processes.

What you'll be doing

You'll support the day-to-day administration of payroll, including processing employee information, maintaining accurate records, assisting with payroll queries and helping ensure payroll activities are completed accurately and on time.

As your knowledge develops, you'll gain exposure to payroll legislation, statutory payments, HMRC processes and payroll reporting, building the skills needed for a successful long-term career in payroll.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Detail-oriented and numerically confident
  • Organised and able to manage priorities effectively
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills
  • Interested in building a career in payroll

Previous experience in an administrative, HR, finance or payroll environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
