Job summary

Forrest Recruitment is actively seeking a Payroll Administrator in Knowsley for a permanent, full-time position with hybrid working. You will manage weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for a contractor portfolio, ensuring timely, compliant processing and accuracy.

Experience in payroll administration is essential; strong IT skills and attention to detail are required. Full training on company systems is provided and a competitive benefits package is on offer.

Qualifications

  • Previous payroll administration experience.
  • Knowledge of pension calculations and auto-enrolment would be beneficial.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • Excellent numerical and literacy skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Administering and reconciling weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for up to 300 employees.
  • Ensuring payrolls are completed accurately and on time.
  • Processing statutory deductions, including Attachment of Earnings Orders (AEOs).
  • Producing P45s and processing P6 notices.
  • Preparing BACS payments for submission.
  • Processing holiday pay requests.
  • Checking and processing CIS contractor invoices.
  • Responding to payroll queries from contractors, agencies and external organisations including HMRC and DWP.
  • Producing reports and providing payroll updates when required.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve internal and external payroll processes.

Payroll Administrator - Knowsley - Permanent - Full Time - Hybrid - up to £28875 per annum

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a busy payroll team within an established and growing organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous payroll administration experience who is highly organised, detail-focused and confident working with large volumes of payroll information. Full training will be provided on company-specific systems and processes.

The Role

Working as part of the payroll team, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely administration of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of contractors. You will work to strict deadlines, ensuring payments are processed correctly while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

  • Administering and reconciling weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for up to 300 employees.

About You

We are looking for someone with previous experience in a payroll administration role who is comfortable working with confidential information and managing deadlines in a busy environment.

You will ideally have:
  • Previous payroll administration experience.
  • Knowledge of pension calculations and auto-enrolment would be beneficial.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • Excellent numerical and literacy skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
