Job description

Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Type: Full Time & Permanent

Location: Office Based, Chippenham

Salary: Up to £30,000

Job Overview

We are supporting an established business in Chippenham that is looking to add to their payroll team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for administering end-to-end payroll services.

Alongside payroll, you will provide auto-enrolment services, including making assessments, issuing notices, liaising with pension providers, and registering with The Pension Regulator.

Candidate Profile

The role suits an enthusiastic and organized individual with experience as a payroll administrator. You should have excellent communication skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with IRIS Payroll is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform end-to-end payroll calculations for a portfolio of clients on weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles.
  2. Administer pensions and submit reports to providers.
  3. Submit CIS returns.
  4. Calculate holiday, parental pay, notice pay, etc.
  5. Handle all levels of client queries.
  6. Liaise regularly with HM Revenue & Customs.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Professional payroll qualification is preferred but not essential.
  • At least one year's experience working in a payroll environment.
