Job summary

Portfolio Payroll Limited is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our Birmingham team. This full-time role, based in the office, is a 9-month fixed-term contract (FTC) with a salary of £36,000 per annum.

You will handle end-to-end payroll for ~9,000 employees, ensuring accuracy and deadlines, maintaining records, processing starters/leavers and statutory payments, and addressing payroll queries while ensuring compliance. Proficiency in SAP Payroll and Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience actively processing payroll, not solely payroll administration.
• Experience processing large payrolls (approx. 9,000 employees).
• Strong knowledge of SAP Payroll.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid understanding of payroll legislation and compliance.
• Proficient Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• In-office work five days a week (mandatory).

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of payroll for approximately 9,000 employees
• Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and within strict deadlines
• Maintaining employee payroll records and data integrity
• Processing starters, leavers, salary changes, statutory payments, deductions and benefits
• Resolving payroll queries from employees and stakeholders
• Supporting payroll compliance and legislative requirements
• Producing payroll reports and reconciliations as required

Essential Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of SAP Payroll (essential)
