Payments Regulatory Change Manager
Competitive - Day Rate
London – 3 days required in the office (Subject to change)
12 months contract

About the role

Our client is seeking a Vice President to join their dynamic Payments organisation, a leading industry player. This role offers an exciting opportunity to focus on Payments horizon scanning and regulatory change. The successful candidate will be part of the Global Regulatory Developments and Engagement (GRDE) function, monitoring, identifying, and understanding regulatory changes impacting Payments. You will engage with stakeholders throughout the regulatory change lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

1. Conduct regulatory research and analyze laws, regulations, and developments affecting Payments.
2. Assess and track regulatory impacts through to implementation.
3. Develop clear, high-quality materials for senior stakeholders.
4. Collaborate with global Control Managers, Legal, Compliance, and business managers to ensure timely and accurate regulation assessment.
5. Present regulatory requirements in relevant forums.
6. Participate in BAU activities and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

1. Significant experience in legal or regulatory research within law firms, consulting firms, Fintech, or financial institutions.
2. Knowledge of the financial services regulatory landscape, including key regulators and regulations.
3. Broad Payments product knowledge (e.g., cash management, payment FX, overdrafts, trade).
4. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to motivate teams and lead initiatives.
6. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
