Job summary

Dwelly is seeking a hands-on Head of Payments to run our payments team day-to-day. You will line-manage several finance admin teams across agencies, own SLAs and processing accuracy, and drive arrears processes.

You will partner with the Head of Payments to build next-gen payments automation while ensuring current operations run smoothly. This role is a hands-on operator with dashboards, 1:1s with leads, and edge-case calls.

Qualifications

• Experience in payments or finance operations at scale.
• Direct line management experience of 20–30+ people across multiple sites.
• Experience in fast-growing, operationally intensive environments (multi-site / multi-branch).
• Proven track record of managing teams against SLAs using dashboards and KPIs.
• Strong Excel and BI skills.
• Comfortable acting as an escalation point for complex or sensitive payment issues.

Responsibilities

• Team Performance & Delivery: Own the day-to-day performance of finance admin teams across agencies, including SLAs and adherence to playbooks.
• Processing Accuracy & Controls: Drive payment processing errors towards zero with QA, tracking, and root-cause analysis.
• People Management & Development: Lead, coach, and develop coordinators and finance admins across locations.
• Escalations & Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as escalation point for complex payment issues and coordinate with Ops leaders.
