Goldman Sachs in Birmingham is seeking a DevOps Engineer Associate to bridge software development and operations within the Payments Engineering team. You will help modernise the stack, build AWS infrastructure, and deliver API-based capabilities.

The role focuses on CI/CD, IaC, Docker and Kubernetes, security scanning, monitoring and reliable deployments across multiple environments. Collaboration with engineers and support teams is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of DevOps experience with focus on AWS services.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and IaC.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring/logging tools.

Responsabilidades

• Build and manage AWS platform infrastructure and deployments across environments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and security scanning.
• Manage containerised environments using Docker and Kubernetes on ECS/EKS.
• Set up monitoring, alerts, and logging for system health and performance.
• Automate operational tasks with scripting languages.
• Collaborate with development teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Stay current with DevOps trends, tools, and best practices.
