Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Pavior for a temporary three‑month contract in London. You will undertake paving, pathways, and external property repairs across council housing properties, working safely and autonomously to high standards.

Ideal candidates have City & Guilds or NVQ-equivalent qualifications, proven paving experience, and a full UK driving licence. The role offers a 3-month contract and usage of a company vehicle, with bi-weekly pay and health and safety emphasis.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds in Construction Operations, NVQ equivalent, or demonstrable experience at a similar level.
• Proven paving and external repair experience.
• Ability to measure and lay slabs, pathways and block paving.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence; no DR10/DG10 disqualifications in past 5 years.
• Experience in Social Housing or Local Authority repairs.

Responsibilities

• Execute paving repairs and renewal projects on council properties.
• Install and repair slabs, pathways, block paving, and hardstanding areas.
• Identify defects and determine appropriate repair strategies.
• Accurately measure and set out work areas.
• Safely operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
• Document completed work and materials utilised.
• Communicate effectively with tenants, residents, and housing officers.
• Operate company vehicles as needed.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
• Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in optimal condition.
• Address emergency repairs and assist broader repair teams when necessary.

The role involves performing paving and external property repairs across council housing properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of paving, pathway, and hard landscaping tasks, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This position requires practical expertise, exceptional craftsmanship, and the ability to work autonomously.
