Job summary

Carlisle Support Services is seeking reliable Patrol Security Officers to work at Somerset House in London. You will provide a visible, reassuring security presence, ensuring safety and high-quality service for tenants, contractors, visitors and the public.

Role requires excellent communication, situational awareness, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Training is provided, with flexible hours and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA Door Supervisor licence.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer-service skills.
• Confidence in handling challenging or stressful situations.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexible approach to duties and working hours.
• Clear and professional communication with colleagues, tenants, contractors and the public.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled security patrols across the Somerset House Estate.
• Check restricted areas, access-controlled doors and secure locations.
• Inspect fire exits and evacuation routes for security.
• Patrol public areas, exhibition spaces, offices and facilities.
• Report security, safety, or welfare concerns to the Security Control Room.
• Support the Controller during emergencies and operational situations.
• Complete incident logs and daily shift documentation accurately.
