Job summary

EMED Group is seeking a Patient Transport Liaison Officer at Leicester Royal Infirmary to coordinate patient transport, attend discharge meetings and liaise between hospital teams and EMED managers. You will manage escalations, support patient flow and handle enquiries, while maintaining policies and procedures.

The role requires healthcare experience, strong communication, excellent planning, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare/hospital setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to plan and prioritise own workload.
• Commitment to patient care.
• Full UK driving licence (6 points max) required.

Responsibilities

• Check and plan daily and future bookings within Cleric controlling system, informing sub-contractors and volunteers for timely transport.
• Maintain patient flow and resolve urgent problems through liaison with hospital staff.
• Attend ad-hoc meetings as required.
• Undertake clerical duties (data input, invoices, forms).
• Maintain service quality and positive relationships with hospital wards and bed managers.
• Weekly forecasting with planning/control to anticipate demand and respond to peaks.
• Assist operational managers with daytime issues.
• Handle patient enquiries and questions as they arise.
• Familiarise with EMED policies and SOPs.
