Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a clerical support worker to assist Sexual Health Clinics across Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde. You will undertake basic office procedures under the direction of the Administration Manager to maintain an efficient office system.

The role includes face-to-face contact with the public, checking patient registration forms for accuracy and coordinating appointments while registering patients electronically and issuing patient numbers.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support to Sexual Health Clinics across Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde under the direction of the Administration Manager to maintain an efficient office system.
• Check clinic registration forms for accuracy (date of birth, address, GP, phone numbers, etc.).
• Register patients electronically, issue patient identifiable numbers, and prepare case files where necessary.
• Greet patients and handle face-to-face enquiries, redirecting clinical questions to appropriate medical staff as needed.
• Monitor and coordinate incoming calls, relay messages, and provide basic information to assist patient appointments.
