Patient Services Clerk - Admin Services - CCCL Liverpool & Paddington Community Diagnostic Centre
Rotational shift pattern, 0800-1400 and 1400-2000 working Mon-Fri with occasional weekend and bank holidays when required
The Patient Services Clerk has a varied role which spans a number of different work areas. The tasks below describe the type of duties appropriate for the role, however, depending on where the post holder is placed, not all of the tasks may be carried out and there may be additional duties specific to that work area expected and within the remit of the role.
To provide a professional, friendly and effective virtual reception service directly to patients and relatives . Liaise with volunteer staff to ensure that visitors are escorted and supported.
The Administrative Services Department is offering an opportunity to join our friendly and supportive team as a Patient Services Clerk
As a Patient Services Clerk within the Admin Services Team you will play a key role in supporting patients during there inpatient ward stays and outpatient appointments and provide administrative support to the clinical teams.
Our work is complex, interesting, specialised and driven by tight deadlines. As such, it is essential that you have good organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
A comprehensive induction programme provides new staff with the basic framework they need to undertake their role but is essential that you have previous office experience ideally in an NHS environment.
You will have a good standard of education including English and Maths, excellent computer skills and experience of competently handling virtual appointments and telephone enquiries.
