Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting patient care through efficient administration? Join our dynamic team as an Outpatient Bookings Administrator, where your role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth and accurate coordination of outpatient services.

In this fast-paced position, you’ll manage a variety of administrative tasks that directly impact patient experience and access to care. Using the electronic Referral System (eRS), you’ll be responsible for scheduling outpatient appointments and aligning clinic timetables with precision and care.

Working in accordance with Government Access Targets, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of patient pathways. Your responsibilities will include collecting and entering essential data into computerised systems, ensuring patient records are consistently accurate and up-to-date, and coordinating clinic schedules to optimise appointment availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate coding of attendances is carried out in a timely manner
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Previous administrative/clerical experience
  • Knowledge of patient record systems/databases with proven experience
  • Excellent keyboard and IT skills, including experience of maintaining and administering databases
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and professional approach at all levels
  • Dependable, with a flexible attitude to work and the ability to adapt to service needs
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of the NHS 18-week Referral to Treatment (RTT) pathway
  • Previous experience within healthcare services
