Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Part Time Chef at Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital to support patient wellbeing through high-quality meals. You’ll manage your own kitchen section, follow food safety standards and work within budget guidelines to deliver consistent service.

The role offers 22.5 hours per week, a starting rate of £14 per hour plus Sodexo benefits. You’ll join a purpose-driven team in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent and Food Safety certificates (Level 3 desirable).
• Experience preparing and cooking fresh food in catering, hospitality or healthcare environments.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Excellent punctuality and time management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality food service to patients, visitors and colleagues.
• Prepare and serve fresh food in line with standards, safety requirements and budget.
• Follow health & safety, food safety and safeguarding procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and organization across kitchen and service areas.
• Respond to customer feedback and escalate concerns as needed.
• Support stock security, minimise waste and report incidents.
