Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Part Time Chef at Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital in Glasgow to support patient dining and the onsite catering operation. You’ll manage your own kitchen section, prepare meals to brand standards, and ensure food safety and quality across patient services.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
• Food Safety certificates (Level 3 desired).
• Experience in healthcare or catering environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality food service to patients, visitors and colleagues.
• Prepare and serve fresh food in line with company standards, food safety requirements and budget guidelines.
• Follow all health & safety, food safety and safeguarding procedures at all times.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation across all kitchen and service areas.
• Respond promptly to customer feedback, escalating concerns and taking appropriate action where required.
• Support stock security, minimise waste and report any incidents, accidents or food safety concerns.
• Work flexibly to support the team, including covering absences, attending training and assisting with special events when needed.
