Job summary

Job description

Full Time 36 hours per week
Band 7 - Salary Range £52,845 - £61,466 per annum
Distant Island Allowance of £2,578 per annum
Relocation Assistance of up to £8000 available

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Patient Flow Manager within the Gilbert Bain Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic person with excellent communication and leadership skills to join our management team. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of planned clinical services in Shetland and through shared pathways with NHS Grampian, helping to deliver service improvement, and working with clinical and support services to deliver local and visiting services in line with national targets.

This post is a key role within the Elective Services Team and will report to the Planned Care Operational Manager.

We are looking for someone who can provide proactive leadership and support the Patient Focused Booking Team Leaders in developing their services and providing staff training.

We are looking for someone with general healthcare management experience; preferably with knowledge of planned care specifically and a good understanding of remote and rural healthcare. Good communication, negotiation and influencing skills, are essential, together with the ability to lead others and manage a complex and diverse workload to deadlines.
