Job summary

EMED Group is seeking Ambulance Care Assistants to join the Burton, Staffordshire team. The role involves transporting patients in a full-time capacity, with shifts across a 38-hour week and weekend work. A UK manual driving licence is essential, as is a strong commitment to patient care and physical fitness.

You will work either in two-person crews or solo, ensuring safe handling of patients and proper handovers at treatment centres. A DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK manual driving licence (6 points maximum).
• Committed to patient care and able to communicate effectively in challenging situations.
• Able to pass an Enhanced DBS check (company funded).

Responsibilities

• Transport elderly, sick and vulnerable service users to appointments and between healthcare facilities.
• Assist with lifting, securing and moving patients in and out of Ambulance.
• Hand over patients to appropriate staff on arrival at centres or to family at home.
• Transfer patients between beds, stretchers and chairs as required.
• Keep the ambulance clean, safe and well maintained.
