Job summary

The Chiltern Hospital & The Shelburne Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, are seeking a Bank Patient Administrator to join the Administration team on an as-and-when-required basis. You will support across both sites, with shifts starting as early as 07:00 and finishing as late as 22:00, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend cover.

Responsibilities include handling the patient journey, processing bookings, mail management, and ensuring health and safety compliance, while maintaining

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade A-C or equivalent.
• Proficient in using a PC and hospital software/systems.
• Basic financial awareness relevant to reception/billing.
• Experience in private healthcare administration is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the smooth running of the patient administrative process throughout the patient journey.
• Ensure best practice process maps are followed to provide a professional service to patients, visitors, consultants and staff.
• Handle patient queries efficiently and professionally.
• Manage all incoming and outgoing mail.
• Approve electronic bookings and update bookings received by email.
• Maintain knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act and implement measures for patients, staff and contractors.
• Comply with all mandatory training.
