Job summary

Circle Health Group’s Three Shires Hospital in Northampton has a Bank Patient Administrator role. This as-needed position covers evenings and weekends, supporting the patient journey and administrative processes within the hospital’s Administration team.

The role requires PC proficiency, basic financial awareness and GCSEs in Maths and English. Prior private healthcare admin experience is beneficial; private medical cover and flexible hours are among benefits offered.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at A-C or equivalent Level 2 evidence.
• Proficient in the use of a PC and various software/systems.
• Basic financial awareness is required.
• Previous administration experience in a private healthcare environment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the smooth running of the patient administrative process throughout the patient journey.
• Follow Circle Health Group best practice process maps to provide efficient, professional, standard service to patients, visitors, consultants and staff.
• Ensure all patient queries are dealt with efficiently and professionally.
• Manage all incoming and outgoing mail.
• Approve electronic bookings and update bookings received via email.
• Maintain knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Ensure Health and Safety measures for patients, relatives, visitors, staff and contractors.
• Comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Three Shires Hospital Bank Shifts Salary £12.71 per hour Three Shires Hospital in Northampton is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Patient Administrator to join their team of staff in the Administration department. This is a bank role working on an "as and when required" basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence. Candidates must be available to work evenings and weekends.

Duties

• Contribute to the smooth running of the patient administrative process throughout the patient journey.
• Ensure the Circle Health Group best practice process maps are followed, to provide an efficient, professional and standard service to all patients, visitors, consultants and staff.
• Ensure All patient queries are dealt with efficiently and professionally.
• To manage all incoming and outgoing mail.
• Approve electronic bookings received via the relevant system and update any booking received via email.
• Maintain knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Ensuring appropriate measures are taken in respect of Health and Safety for patients, relatives, visitors, hospital staff and contractors.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria

• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
• Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
• Basic financial awareness.
• Previous administration experience in a private healthcare environment would be beneficial.
