Job summary

Circle Reading Hospital is seeking a Patient Administrator to join the Administration department on a full-time 37.5-hour week contract, with a flexible shift pattern. The role offers a salary of £24,947 per year and the chance to contribute to a busy private healthcare environment.

You will support the patient journey, manage mail and bookings, handle queries, and maintain Health and Safety knowledge, with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Maths and English GCSE at grades A–C or equivalent Level 2.
• Proficient in the use of a PC, including software and systems.
• Basic financial awareness.
• Experience in private healthcare administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support smooth operation of patient administrative processes throughout the patient journey.
• Follow Circle Health Group best practice process maps to provide a professional service.
• Handle patient queries efficiently and professionally.
• Manage all incoming and outgoing mail.
• Approve electronic bookings and update bookings via email.
• Maintain knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Ensure safety measures for patients, relatives, visitors, staff and contractors, and complete mandatory training.

Patient Administrator Circle Reading Hospital 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: £24,947.00 per year

Circle Reading Hospital is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Patient Administrator to join their team of staff in the Administration department. This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Contribute to the smooth running of the patient administrative process throughout the patient journey.
• Ensure the Circle Health Group best practice process maps are followed, to provide an efficient, professional and standard service to all patients, visitors, consultants and staff.
• Ensure All patient queries are dealt with efficiently and professionally.
• To manage all incoming and outgoing mail.
• Approve electronic bookings received via the relevant system and update any booking received via email.
• Maintain knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Ensuring appropriate measures are taken in respect of Health and Safety for patients, relatives, visitors, hospital staff and contractors.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence
• Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems
• Basic financial awareness
• Previous administration experience in a private healthcare environment would be beneficial.
