Job summary

Caritas Diocese of Salford is recruiting a Project Worker for Caritas House in Manchester. You will join a team to provide safe, high-standard supported accommodation for single men with low support needs and 24-hour staffing for 19 residents.

Role focuses on helping residents improve health, well-being and independent living skills, and supports access to education and training to gain employment. Interview appears on 16 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience of working with people who are homeless in a supported housing setting.
• Excellent communication and ability to communicate in a positive and respectful way.
• Proficient IT and administration skills.
• Knowledge of the housing and benefits system.
• Knowledge of Safety and Safeguarding policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment where residents can feel safe and valued.
• Support residents to improve health, well-being and develop independent living skills.
• Assist with education and training to help residents move into employment.
• Work as part of a team and communicate effectively to ensure high standards of housing.
