Job summary

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Wirral Friars Care is seeking a Pathway Coordinator to support the ongoing development and delivery of the My Follow Up Plan. The post works with Cancer Support Workers and clinical colleagues to ensure coordinated follow-up care across tumour groups, helping reduce variation and improve patient experiences.

The role requires NHS administrative experience, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work across teams.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration, Management, Healthcare Administration or equivalent.
• ECDL or equivalent IT qualification/experience.
• Training in process mapping or pathway management.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and develop My Follow Up Plan across tumour groups.
• Work with Cancer Support Workers to focus on patient-facing coordination, self-management and escalation.
• Establish consistent processes separating administrative pathway functions from Cancer Support Worker responsibilities.
• Support effective use of pathway resources as the service grows.
• Contribute to improved pathway oversight and a more consistent patient experience.
